Tourist Visa

Who would need a tourist visa for Italy?

Your nationality will mostly determine whether or not you need a tourist visa. You can check whether you will need one on Visa for Italy. Italy is part of the EU and the Schengen Area, whose visa policies are decided together. Each State might have its own guidelines for international visitors when it comes to travel documentation though.

You can apply for a tourist visa if you:

  • Are a citizen of a third country that doesn’t have a visa liberalisation agreement with the Schengen member states.
  • Have previously been denied entry to Italy (or any other Schengen nation) even though you’re a citizen of a third-world nation with a signed visa liberalisation agreement with the Schengen states.
