What are the requirements for a French student visa?

To apply for a student visa, you’ll need to meet the following requirements.

  • Be aged over 18.
  • Have chosen your training course or studies - you can find guidance on this on Campus France.
  • Be accepted by a higher education establishment. Remember that enrolment conditions will be different, depending on your nationality, but you can check the Etudes en France website or Campus France for more information.

It’s important to note in certain circumstances (age or enrolment in the first year of studies), you’ll need to follow the "Parcoursup" procedure.
