What reasons can’t I visit the UK for on a Standard Visitor visa when travelling for medical treatment?

It’s a good idea to remind yourself of what you can’t do whilst you’re in the UK on this visa:

• carry out paid or unpaid work for a UK company, including as a self-employed person
• claim public funds, otherwise known as benefits
• visit multiple times, one after the other, to try and make the UK your main home
• marry (or register a civil partnership) - to do this, you’ll need to apply for a Marriage Visitor visa. This also includes giving notice of marriage.
