Student Visa

Will I be able to work in Germany with a student visa? 

Around your studies, you’ll be able to work too. Just be aware that you’re only allowed to do a certain number of hours, as shown below. 

• If you’re from EU/EEA countries and Switzerland, you can work for a maximum of 20 hours per week during term time.
• As a student from any other countries, you can work for no more than 120 full days or 240 half days a year. 
• If you’re an international student with a residence permit, you can extend it for up to 18 months if you find work.
• If you’re a graduate from an EU/EEA country, you can stay and seek work without any restriction or permission.
