Student Visa

• A copy of your valid passport or travel document.
• Proof that you’ve paid the fee (if you need to).
• Proof that you’re enrolled at a higher education institution for full-time studies, a preparatory year, or an entrance exam. You’ll need a certificate drawn up in line with this standard form. This form is written in Dutch (Flemish).
• Consent from your parents or guardian if you’re under 18.
• Proof that you’ll have ’sufficient means of subsistence’ during your stay, meaning you’re able to look after yourself. 
• Documents to show you have, or will have, health insurance in Belgium that covers any risks.
• A medical certificate that shows you’re not suffering from any of the diseases listed in the annex to the Act of 15 December 1980. 
• If you’re over 18, you’ll need to show you’ve not been convicted of any crimes or malpractices. You could confirm this with an extract from the criminal record or an equivalent document in your country of origin or last residence. Just make sure it’s not older than 6 months.

If any of these documents aren’t already in German, English, French, or Dutch, remember to include a translation alongside them.
