What are the requirements for a business visa?

To apply for a business visa, you’ll need to be a genuine business visitor. You can only stay in Australia temporarily and you’ll have to stick to the conditions and stay period attached to your visa. You can check your visa conditions on the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs.

You'll also need to:

Meet the health requirement

This is outlined here.

If you’ll be entering health care or hospital environments, you could apply for a Visitor (subclass 600) visa instead.

Meet the character requirement

This is outlined here.

This is to show that you’re ‘of good character’. If you’ve been convicted of a crime in any country, you can give evidence about this and apply for a Visitor visa (subclass 600) instead. It’s really important that all the information you give is correct, to make sure your visa application process runs smoothly.

Have paid back any debt to the Australian Government

If you or your family owe the Australian Government money, it needs to either be paid or there should be an arrangement to pay it back.

Act in the best interests of any children you’re travelling with

Your visa could be denied if your application isn’t considered in the best interest of children under 18.
